Textile Factory S.XIX

There were up to five textile industries in the town. Based on the excellent quality of flax grown in the area.

They became very important, even creating auxiliary industries, as in this case, with the manufacture of spindles.

During the eighteenth century, and especially in the nineteenth century, an important industrial development took place, which must have employed a good number of people.

Both men and women, and possibly even children, lent a hand in the necessary tasks.

From cultivation to weaving and manufacturing, all this activity has been somewhat forgotten today, with only a few looms remaining as a souvenir. And above all, the Venero and Peral well washes.
